As founder and joint MD, Caroline has used her professional qualifications as a Bio-Medical Engineer to develop and lead on all operational solutions for the company. She is leading the company’s service offering in Medical Equipment Asset Management to the NHS and has over 15 years experience in Advisory Managed Equipment Services projects, taking several to financial close.
Prior to founding MTS, Caroline worked for 17 years in the NHS leading a regional service across the NHS in Medical Device Management. She is currently overseeing all operational contracts including Medical Equipment Asset Management. Caroline heads up Quality Assurance and MTS Health’s Asset Management best practice direction.
Caroline is a nationally recognised expert in her field and has provided roles for professional witness and spoken at EBME national conferences.
As co-owner and joint MD, Ruth is responsible for the corporate strategy and bidding of new business. She has overseen the Health and Education equipment contracts and has led on over 30 major hospital projects over the last 20 years, including Barts Health, the largest PFI in Europe.
Ruth has overseen the Equipment Procurement for a number of high profile projects .
She oversees the productivity and performance of the full time and part time personnel and has won the prestigious BIFM Innovation award (2012) for the company.
Her involvement at a strategic level has resulted in MTS Health operating over 30 contracts in the UK.
John is an internationally recognised and respected chartered engineer, and a ‘Doctor in Professional Studies’ for ‘Compliance in Medical Devices Management Policy’. He has over 35 years of experience, with the last 20 years in senior executive roles such as Managing Director, Chief Executive, and Chairman.
John is professionally registered with the UK Engineering Council through the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management as a Fellow (FIHEEM), and is also a member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET).
John is also well known academically, with over 300 published articles, and a professional doctoral thesis. He is a visiting senior research fellow at Middlesex University, and a ‘Fellow of the Institute of Work Based Learning’ (FIWBL), giving lectures in medical devices management, policy development and organisational learning.
John has been chairing the national ‘Electronic and Biomedical Engineering (EBME) Conference’ since 2009, attracting thousands of professional delegates responsible for asset management, maintenance, and user training.
Andrew joined MTS Health in 2006. His professional expertise encompassing Clinical technology, Education and Training, quality management, procurement and asset management. He specialises in developing “industry best practice” asset management solutions for both NHS and private sector clients.
As a HCPC Registered Clinical Scientist with over 30 years NHS and Commercial experience within healthcare, Andrew’s broad range of expertise has proved beneficial to MTS clients over the years.
He has worked on a number of successful diverse but technically challenging projects from high profile whole hospital new builds such as the Mid Essex Hospitals PFI scheme through to consulting on the development of Clinical Technology apprenticeships for the Ministry of Education – Bahrain.
He has undertaken a number of strategic medical device management diligence and review projects for NHS Trusts focusing on process improvement, CQC compliance, equipment utilisation and reducing the cost of equipment ownership and is currently developing and overseeing the implementation of a robust and CQC Compliant equipment management system for Norfolk Community Health and Care Trust.
A senior member of the MTS Management Team, Stuart has joined MTS to head up the Medical Device Management operational services delivery. Stuart has a wealth of Medical Device management experience previously being Head of Operations at TBS (Althea Group) and managing multi-sites.
Stuart is a Medical Devices Manager with a focus on commercials, performance management and operational service delivery. Stuart has a military engineering background and is qualified to master’s degree (MSc) level in Quality and Performance Management.
Richard has extensive negotiating experience with an emphasis on securing deals and partnerships that stand the test time. Having negotiated PFI deals from a blank sheet of paper right through to the creation and evolution of standard form contracts, he has detailed knowledge and understanding of the principles and purposes of these contracts.
He also worked with the Treasury and NHS to help shape the development of business cases to accommodate PFI/PPP projects in keeping with the Green Book and Capital Investment Manual. Richard also has well developed financial modelling skills. His models have been used to underpin innovative project financings as well government side business cases.
In the field of Managed Equipment Services Richard has in depth knowledge of the financial models of nearly all the of the bidders and has on occasion guided their development to ensure that they meet the needs of the procuring authority. Not only does this enable him to provide in depth advice on the fundamentally different structures used by MES bidders, but he also has extensive experience on how the bidders flex and adapt their models to accommodate Trust side variations.

Annette joined MTS as a Senior Project Manager responsible for a number of our high profile private and NHS procurement and project management roles.
She has over 30 years of progressive UK and international experience in Healthcare as a Senior Manager, Clinician, Programme and Project Manager. Skilled at converting Strategy to delivery by engaging staff, clinical and user stakeholders together with Commissioners, combined with proactive programme management leading to sustainable improvements in care and patient experience
She has a proven track record overseeing the delivery of national and international healthcare projects, she leads and manages by influencing in order to meet deadlines.
Skilled in planning objectives and implementation of complex projects, she can deploy resources effectively, including leading, mentoring and training teams and is constantly striving to succeed through testing her skills and knowledge, and is always keen to develop.
HNC Electronics & Electrical Engineering
Gary has over 30 years of experience in medical equipment and management covering a wide range of technology and clinical specialist areas. He is leading the MTS service delivery plans for equipment asset management and has been overseeing many of the NHS and private sector equipment asset audits and due diligence exercises.
He has successfully been the commercial and technical lead on managed services for clinical equipment and has been involved in the PFI/Equipment deals for the last 20 years. Gary’s all round abilities in the medical equipment field have made him a sought after consultant on our international projects.
Anwar is one of MTS’s Technical Managers. With over 15 years working experience and over 7 years at a senior level in the Medical Equipment Industry, he has a sound clinical knowledge and experience of the maintenance of medical and other equipment in a complex, multi-professional environment.
With 3 years experience of Asset Management in Hospital and equipment planning as well as experience in Internal Asset Auditing, he has an up to date knowledge of developments in Medical Equipment covering the clinical application as well as the technical aspects of the full range of medical equipment and a good working knowledge of asset management software.
Steve began working for MTS as an Associate, conducting a full asset audit of all equipment at Manchester Royal infirmary. His former career includes working as the United States Governments Asset Manager covering three installations located in the United Kingdom, Japan and Kuwait.
In 2005, Steve was deployed to Afghanistan as a Technical Advisor to the Commander in the establishment of a new maintenance facility at Bagram Air Base.
In 2013, Steve joined MTS as a full time Assistant Project Manager, and has since conducted audits at Lewisham Hospital and Care UK. He is currently working at a variety of hospitals throughout the UK, implementing a CQC compliant equipment management infrastructure including assessment of all trust assets.
Yuri joined MTS in 2017 to work on the complex and first PF2: Midland Metropolitan, performing equipment audits as part of the MTS team. Since then he participated on an array of projects with various levels of complexity, such as Royal Papworth Hospital, Moorfield Eye Hospital and others. He has been promoted and is now based in our Head Office at Hemel Hempstead.
Following extensive trainings he has become proficient in the use of various software packages as eQuip AM/PM and ADB and is currently responsible for the management of MTS Technical Databases..
Nicola is the MTS Head Office Manager. With 30 years of supervisory and administrative experience in various industry sectors, she trained in Graphic Design and worked in London for 10 year as a Senior Graphic Designer and Studio Manager she also has level 3 Accountancy.
Along with being the voice of the MTS office on a daily basis, Nicola is responsible for, but not limited to, the overall administration of the company, the HR and accounting aspects of the business, she produces the presentation and marketing materials and is responsible for the bid management of all new projects. She administers the Quality Management System, GDPR and is the onsite Health & Safety officer and Fire warden, as well as managing the Phone and Mobile contracts.

Holding a master’s degrees in Biomedical and Medical Engineering and specialising in Neurotechnology, Javier has a sophisticated grasp on the applications within the field of Biomedical Engineering. Having joined the Harlow Service Centre in February 2020, Javier is a skilled member of the team with a meticulous and innovative approach to his work.
With 18 years of experience working in Engineering fields and a recipient of a City and Guilds award for Machine and Tool Maintenance, Simon brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team. A conscientious individual, he joined the Harlow Service Centre in February 2020 and works hard in his role as an engineering professional
Fay is a dedicated and innovative individual who brings with her an education background in Biomedical Engineering. She has prior experience working for medical facilities within the Clinical Engineering environment as well as Radiology. Proficient in her work, Fay joined the team at our Harlow Service Centre in February 2020.
With an educational background in Biotechnical and Medical Devices and Systems, Viktoriia is industrious and skilled. She joined the team at the Harlow Service Centre in February 2020, bringing with her prior experience of working in the Biomedical Engineering department at a the Vinnytsia Military Hospital, Ukraine.
