Role Equipment Procurement Advisory
MTS worked with Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and UCL (on behalf of the GOSH Charity) who are funding a 7 Storey “Bench to Bedside” Transitional Research facility for Children with Rare Diseases. There is a GMP (Gene Manufacturing Plant) and seven clean rooms with agile working for 469 staff/researchers including an outpatient facility and Laboratories. MTS specified, procured, installed and handed over all Group 2 and 3 & 4 equipment.
MTS prepared detailed 1:50 Room lists and costings and signed these off in close collaboration with the users.
MTS was also responsible for the commissioning of all the equipment including transfers into the building and the Removals and Logistics Tender and Appointment.
A full handover report and excel file for finance and clinical engineering estates was provided.
Recently we celebrated the opening of The Zayed Centre for Research into Rare Disease in Children and welcomed the first outpatients through its doors for treatment. The purpose-built Zayed Centre for Research brings together pioneering research and clinical care under one roof in a world-first that will help to drive forward new treatments and cures for seriously ill children from across the UK and international patients. The new facility has been built on Guilford Street, next to Great Ormond Street Hospital and UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health in London.
