APM project management awards 2016 finalist

Catherine Holmes, Senior Project Manager was a finalist and runner up in the recent APM Project Management Awards 2016

– “Mike Nichols award for inspiration” sponsored by the Nichols Group.

Catherine’s entry described how she managed her breast cancer diagnosis and treatment as a project, whilst working on equipping the largest PFI in Europe; Barts Health NHS Trust. She was up against Nottingham City Council’s transformation project ‘Good to Great’ and Transport for London with their 4 Lines Modernisation project. Tough competition from very large organisations and should be congratulated.

Frances and Kathryn Nichols of the Nichols Group commented:

‘All of the finalist’s entries were fascinating and very deserving of recognition. All members of the judging panel remarked on how difficult it was to select a winner and how there was a lot to be learnt from all the incredible work and achievements of all of the finalists.

Reading about your bravery and imagination in the face of such a significant challenge was hugely inspiring, and you showed incredible amounts of creativity in how you chose to guide yourself through your journey.’
