West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust – Future System – MTS Equipment and Digital Transformation Advisor

MTS is prepared the detailed 1:50 room lists and costings and completing user input and sign off. MTS were appointed for the procurement phase. All previous work was undertaken by the Trust direct.

MTS was responsible for liaising with suppliers, tendering procurement, budget control and managing Removals and Logistics.

MTS also mobilised their specialist Logistics Team for the staff and IT moves.

Working with the Trust COO to prepare all of the RIBA2 inputs for the trust, working collaboratively with the other Trust advisors such as the design team, clinical and non-clinical trust personnel, cost advisors, Programme and project managers.

MTS is prepared the detailed Equipment Bill of Quantities for the OBC alongside the schedule of accommodation development; creating the initial budget; bespoking the cost data to be Hillingdon specific. We worked collaboratively on the Trust Digital Transformation Strategy; whilst also developing the Trust’s 5 year equipment replacement plan for Business as Usual.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - MTS Trust Advisor 

MTS is working with Sisk Construction to undertake the Equipment Planning and Procurement strategy, for the new state of the art children’s cancer center.MTS is preparing the detailed Bills of Quantities; Equipment Specifications; costings and completing user input and sign off. MTS is responsible for the equipment interface with all the other advisors. The project has delivered RIBA 3 and RIBA is being finalized.

MTS has previously worked for Great Ormond Street equipping the Princess Zayed building and prior to that auditing all Medical Equipment and preparing a 10 year equipment Replacement Plan.

MTS are providing a specialist Healthcare Technologist (Clinical Engineer with ICT) to provide support to the Trust for their Medical Device Connectivity Programme. This contract was awarded in July 2021.

MTS prepared the detailed Equipment Bill of Quantities for the OBC to complete with the schedule of accommodation, creating the initial budget; bespoking the data to be Whipps Cross specific.

Royal Surrey Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

MTS continues to support the Royal Papworth Hospital planned to move to the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.

MTS is working closely with the Trust project team to ensure all the required Equipment is bought and transferred to meet the new deadlines.

The Hospital was due to open in September 2018. However, it has announced contractors Skanska used insulation materials that did not meet its specifications and the move might take “a number of months”.

Royal Papworth October 2018 

MTS have provided technical and commercial support throughout the procurement of the MES. The contract will deliver state-of-the-art equipment and performance management services for ten years to Norfolk and Norwich University NHS Foundation Trust. The partnership is intended to ensure the availability of innovative and state-of-the-art medical technology in the hospital for a period of ten years, independent of manufacturers and delivers clinical choice. It has been a pleasure to work with the clinicians and stakeholders at NNUH who will now be well equipped to continue their amazing work and develop new treatments.

Norfolk & Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

London Nightingale required MTS to commission all of the Medical Equipment including 500 level 3 ICU Beds. On both sites MTS implemented the equipment Governance and handed over the e-Quip databases to the NHS Trust. MTS also supported the Clinical Engineering Teams. This was handed over in January 2021.
